Dolphin Arching Up With Fins Raised, Snout Right

Dolphin Arching Up With Fins Raised, Snout Right coloring page

Coloring guide

A single dolphin arches its body in a big curve, with its head lifted and its long snout pointing to the right. It has a round eye with a small dot pupil, a gentle smile line along the mouth, and a tiny nostril mark near the tip of the nose. The tall dorsal fin sits at the top left, and two flippers hang down from the chest. The tail curls around at the bottom with two flukes, and short hatch lines on the flukes and flippers show where shading would go. The body is plain and open, so the big areas are easy for small hands to fill in. Try coloring the body in two shades of blue, light on the belly side and darker on the back, then use the hatch lines as a guide for adding a deeper tone on the fins and tail. This free printable works well for a classroom ocean unit.
