Dolphin Swimming and Jumping Through Ocean Waves

Coloring guide
Here a smiling dolphin arches high over the water while its tail still dips into the splashes below. It has a big round eye, an open happy mouth, and a curved belly line that small hands can follow easily. You'll see bold water droplets, little bubbles, and two rows of wavy lines across the bottom of the page. Up in the sky there's a sun with short rays in the top left and three puffy clouds close by. Thick outlines and roomy shapes work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Light and medium blues look nice on the dolphin, with yellow for the sun and a deeper teal for the waves so the jump stands out. It's a free printable for a quiet afternoon or an ocean-themed lesson. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the whole dolphin body, its flipper and its top fin with cornflower blue, leaving the eye white unpainted.
- 2Fill the sun's center with golden yellow, keeping the rays uncolored or adding a quick touch of yellow if you like.
- 3Color both clouds with pale baby blue, leaving their outlines clean.
- 4Fill the water splashes around the dolphin and at the bbottom with bright sky blue.
- 5Color the open mouth with coral pink, then leave the eye white and the ocean waves white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker blue along the belly and under the fins to give the dolphin some depth.
