Twirling in a Flower Dress, Dora the Explorer Dance Page
Coloring guide
Dora is caught mid-twirl with one foot kicked up and her arms stretched wide, like she just can't stop dancing. She has her bob haircut with straight bangs, a daisy-style flower clipped above one ear and a beaded bracelet on a wrist. Her layered, flowing dress has puffy short sleeves, a banded waist and a second flower pinned at the hip, and little motion lines by the hem show how fast she's spinning. An open smile and wide eyes make her look full of joy. Big, clear shapes make this free printable work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Sunny yellow or bright pink on the dress layers, with a different color for each flower, will help them stand out. No background, so kids can add their own. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the hair: fill the whole top and sides of Dora's hair with chocolate brown, and color the hair shadows with very dark brown.
- 2Fill the face, neck, both arms and both hands with peach orange, leaving the eye whites and the small background gap near the arm white.
- 3Color the shirt with purple and the puffy sleeves with lavender.
- 4Fill the skirt: use bright pink for the middle layer, rose red for the left flap, light beige for the edges, and golden yellow for the bottom ruffle and hem. Keep the small skirt highlight white.
- 5Color the shoes with orchid and add the flowers in hot pink, then finish the eyes with chocolate brown pupils and the hair band details.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading to the hair and skirt folds with a slightly darker tone of the same color for depth.
