Cuddly Teddy Bear Time with Dora the Explorer and Hearts
Coloring guide
Dora is sitting on the ground, bare feet stretched out, smiling softly while she cuddles a fluffy teddy bear in her lap. Her bob haircut with straight bangs frames big round eyes, and she has on a short-sleeved top with a small collar. The teddy has round ears, a little nose, a worried-looking face, fur marked with short lines and paw pads on its feet. A small cluster of hearts floats on each side of the pair, which gives the page a sweet, affectionate feel. Bold outlines and big shapes help younger kids who are still building pencil control. It's a nice free printable for quiet time. Warm brown works for the bear, bright pink for the hearts and a deep dark brown for Dora's hair. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big hair areas: color the top and both sides of the hair dark chocolate brown, leaving the bangs as separate strands.
- 2Fill Dora's face and the skin on her legs and arms with light tan, leaving the eye whites bright.
- 3Color the teddy bear's head, ears, arms and feet warm brown, then add the lighter tan on the inner ears, paw pads and claws.
- 4Paint Dora's cape, shirt and boots bubblegum pink, and add the hearts in the same pink around the drawing.
- 5Use bright orange for the backpack and soft orange for the patch and sleeves, then add pale yellow and golden yellow for the straps.
- 6Finish with the lilac purple collar and the dark brown eyes, leaving the small eye highlights white. Optional: add light shading with a slightly darker shade of each color for depth.
