Fairy Girl on a Baby Elephant, Inside Out Trip to the Castle
Coloring guide
A smiling little fairy with a big bow in her hair and wings on her back rides on top of a cheerful baby elephant as they trot down a winding path. The elephant has big round eyes, a star on its side, polka dots on its body, striped legs, and a striped pointed trunk that looks a bit like a crayon. At the end of the path, a castle with a flag stands in the background. Swirly hills, two lollipop-style trees and a smiling cloud fill out the scene. With big shapes and small details together, it works for kids who like a bit of variety. Pink and purple on the bow and wings, then rainbow stripes down the elephant's legs and trunk, would look great. Print or download this free page for an easy afternoon activity. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big shapes: color the elephant body and head in sky blue, and fill the tail tip with royal blue, leaving the eye shine white.
- 2Fill the rolling hills and swirls with bright green and lime green, add forest green to the darker areas, and color the winding path with butter yellow and marigold stripes.
- 3Color the castle walls in lavender and pale lilac, the roofs and tower tops in hot pink, and the arched door in cream.
- 4Paint the fairy's face and hands in skin tone, her hair in sunny yellow, her bow and sash in rose pink, and her wings in ice blue.
- 5Add the trunk in alternating rose pink and sunny yellow stripes, color the saddle star sunny yellow, and finish the elephant's feet in sunny yellow.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shade of each color along one side of the shapes, and leave the lollipop centers and sky background white for a bright, clean look.
