Family Hug for the Graduation Girl
Coloring guide
This warm family portrait has a smiling girl in a graduation cap with a tassel and a long-sleeved gown right in the middle. A woman with shoulder-length hair hugs her from one side, cheek to cheek. Behind them a smiling man in a collared shirt rests his hands on the shoulders of a younger girl, who wears a ponytail and a dress and holds a big bouquet tied with a ribbon. Across the top stretches a leafy tree with scalloped edges, and flower bushes and little tufts of grass fill the corners. A deep blue or burgundy gown and cap would look lovely, with bright pinks and yellows for the bouquet. Grab this free printable for a quick coloring break any time. - 1Start with the big areas: color the graduation gown, cap and gown bottom in navy blue, and the woman's jeans in denim blue.
- 2Color the tree canopy, leaves and bushes in grass green, and the tree trunk in caramel brown, using leaf green for the darker leaves.
- 3Fill the faces, necks, ears and arms with skin peach, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 4Color the hair: the woman's and graduate's hair in caramel brown, the man's hair in dark brown, and the girl's ponytail in golden yellow.
- 5Fill the clothes: the man's shirt in sky blue, the woman's top in rose pink, the girl's dress in soft violet, and the gown's stole in golden yellow.
- 6Optional: finish the bouquet with lavender purple, blush pink and pale pink flowers, a rose pink ribbon with a leaf green tail, and keep the flower centers white.
