Fireworks Night Calendar Page with Family on a Picnic Blanket
Coloring guide
Four family members sit with their backs to us on a checkered picnic blanket, looking up at three big fireworks bursting in the night sky. On the left is a man with short spiky hair, and next to him are a small boy and a girl with a ponytail. A woman with long hair sits on the right, with a puppy lying on the blanket near her. A woven picnic basket rests in the lower left corner. Rolling hills, bushes and two small trees fill the background. In the sky you'll find a crescent moon on each side, soft clouds and lots of little stars. Bold, simple outlines give a mix of big open spaces and fine details. Deep purple and navy would work for the sky, with gold, red and bright pink for the fireworks. Download and print it free for classroom time or a rainy day. - 1Start with the sky-blue moon clouds and the dark blue sky areas, leaving the firework bursts and stars white.
- 2Color the distant hill and bushes in lime green and leaf green, then fill the trees on the hilltop with forest green.
- 3Fill the family's clothes: bright blue for dad's shirt and the boy's jeans, red for the boy's shirt, pink for the girl's shirt, and lavender for mom's top.
- 4Color the hair and dog: dark brown for dad, chestnut brown for the boy, reddish brown for the girl, golden yellow for mom, and pale gold for the dog.
- 5Finish the picnic blanket with cream squares and a few red squares, then add the tan picnic basket and light tan skin tones. Optional: add a little darker shading under the arms and blanket edges for depth.
