Fishing from a Rock on a Camping Trip
Coloring guide
A happy boy sits on a big rock at the water's edge and holds a fishing rod with both hands. He wears a bucket hat, short-sleeved shirt, cargo shorts and lace-up boots. His line drops straight down to a little bobber floating in rippling water, and a bucket beside him holds two fish he's already caught. A tent sits in the grass behind him, with bushy trees and small grass tufts in the background. There are big, open shapes for young colorers, plus smaller touches like the reel and boot laces for kids who like to take their time. A bright yellow bucket hat and a few shades of blue in the water will make the red-and-white bobber really stand out. Good for a quiet afternoon, a camp lesson or a rainy day. - 1Fill the tent with golden yellow, and use amber orange on the left side panel and burnt orange on the tent door.
- 2Color the bushes, grass tufts and ground with grass green and leaf green, and make the tree trunk caramel brown.
- 3Color the rocks light gray, the bucket and the bobber tomato red, and the fish pale gray.
- 4Color the boy's shirt bright blue, his shorts olive green, his face, arms and knees skin peach, his hat light tan, his hair chocolate brown, and his boots camel brown with bronze brown laces.
- 5Leave the socks, the fishing rod tip and the water ripples white so they stand out against the colors.
- 6Optional: press a little harder along the edges of the rocks to add a bit of depth.
