This flamingo flies through the air with both wings stretched high, its long legs trailing behind and its neck curved gently forward. Each wing has big scalloped feathers with lots of room, so little hands can take them one at a time. Four wavy lines show the water below. In the sky, a round sun with short rays sits beside two puffy clouds, with one more cloud at the top left. The bird has a round eye and a bold curved beak with a dark tip. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the sun golden yellow and the two clouds sky blue, leaving the wave lines and background white.
- 2Fill the flamingo's body, head, neck, tail feathers and belly with soft pink, keeping the legs white.
- 3Color the wings: outer wing feathers soft pink, the upper and middle right wing feathers deep pink, and the lower right wing light pink.
- 4Color the beak pale peach and the feet and ankles coral orange, leaving the long legs white.
- 5Optional: Add a few darker strokes of deep pink along the edges of the wings and body to make the feathers look fuller.
