Tropical Fish on a Hawaiian Coral Reef

Coloring guide
Six smiling fish swim together in a busy underwater scene, and the big striped angelfish in the middle steals the show. Around it are a clownfish-style fish with wide bands, a pointed-fin fish with spots and stripes, a small striped fish, a long-nosed fish with vertical bands and a round dotted fish. Branching coral, wavy seaweed, two sea anemones with lots of thin petals and tube-shaped sponges fill the background. A dotted starfish and a little spiral shell rest on the sandy bottom, and round bubbles float up toward the top. Big open stripes sit next to tiny detailed patterns, so kids who like variety will be happy. Bright orange and yellow on the center fish will make it stand out against cool blue and green seaweed. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big angelfish: color its wide body stripes alternately sky blue and lemon yellow, and fill its face and lower body with aqua blue and deep ocean blue, leaving the eye white.
- 2Paint the clownfish orange using tangerine orange on its body and top fin, leaving its white stripes and eye whites uncolored.
- 3Fill the spotted fish body with golden yellow, then add tangerine orange spots, and color the small fish and the top-right dotted fish with lemon yellow.
- 4Color the purple coral and anemone clusters with lavender purple and medium purple, and the seaweed on both sides with leaf green.
- 5Add bright red to the branching coral and the starfish, color the rocks dusty blue and pale blue, and finish the shell with medium purple.
- 6Optional: add a little extra shading to the seaweed and coral with a darker shade of the same color for more depth.
