Friends Sharing a Picnic in the Park for Diversity & Inclusion
Coloring guide
Six friends sit close together on a checkered picnic blanket, smiling and passing sandwiches around. A woman in a hijab and embroidered tunic sits in the center. Gathered around her are a boy in a hoodie, a girl with a hair bun and a flower in a floral kimono-style outfit, a curly-haired child, a girl in a flowered sun hat with a braid, and a boy in a cap and striped shirt. On the blanket you'll find a water pitcher, cups, a sandwich plate, watermelon slices, bowls of fruit, strawberries, and a woven basket of bananas and grapes. Leafy trees, bushes, puffy clouds and a kite with a bow-tied tail are in the background. Red and pink watermelon with green rinds makes the food look good enough to eat. - salmon pink
- pale sky
- rose pink

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the skin: fill the faces, hands, arms and legs of everyone in light peach, leaving the eye whites and small shine spots white.
- 2Color the woman's headscarf in rose pink and her long dress in lavender purple, then add the same purple to the sleeves.
- 3Fill the boy's hoodie and the small boy's pants in ocean blue, the small boy's shirt in leaf green, and the boy's hair in dark brown.
- 4Color the juice pitcher and the right girl's kimono with golden yellow, and add bright red to the apples and coral red to the girl's hat.
- 5Fill the grass and bushes with leaf green and lime green, the clouds with pale sky, and the checkered blanket in salmon pink and blush pink, leaving the white squares and glasses white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker shadows under the hats and inside the sleeves to make the figures look more three-dimensional.
