Garden Cat with Bird, Birdhouse and Wheelbarrow

A fluffy cat with big round eyes stretches low on the grass in a backyard, tail curled up behind it. Nearby sits a wooden wheelbarrow piled with leafy plants, and a flower with rounded petals rests on the edge. A bucket stands in front of a picket fence, and a butterfly perches on the fence boards. Above, a small bird flies with its wings open beside a tall birdhouse with two round holes, a little perch peg and a slanted roof. A big tree with a scalloped leafy edge fills the top left corner, and two swirly clouds drift in the sky. The fence boards, wheelbarrow slats and flower petals are good for crayons or colored pencils. Try wood browns for the fence and birdhouse, then pick bright colors for the flowers and butterfly. Kids can also point out everything in the scene that lives in a garden and talk about which things belong to spring. This free printable page works well for quiet time at home or in class.
