Garden Path Easter Egg Hunt with Wheelbarrow and Watering Can

Coloring guide
A winding path of oval stepping stones curls through a spring garden, with decorated eggs hiding in the flowers along the way. One egg near the wooden picket fence at the top has wavy stripes. Others have polka dots, hearts and small flower patterns. Tulips and daisy-like blooms with big petals line both sides of the path, and grass tufts fill the gaps. On the right sits a wheelbarrow overflowing with flowers, and below it is a watering can with a flower on its side. Bushes and a gentle hill fill the background. Big stepping stones are easy to color, and the eggs give small hands patterns to practice on. Soft purples, pinks and yellows suit the eggs, while warm gray and tan make the stones stand out. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- pale sand
- sandy brown
- light green
- bright red
- leaf green
- bubblegum pink
- golden yellow
- sky blue
- forest green
- pale green
- lavender purple
- charcoal gray
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the garden path: fill the big stepping stones and their edges with pale sand, then color the dirt path between them with sandy brown.
- 2Color the wheelbarrow and the watering can: fill the wheelbarrow body and its rim with bright red, and fill the watering can with sky blue, leaving the flower band a sky blue too. Color the wheelbarrow wheel charcoal gray.
- 3Add the greenery: use forest green for the darkest leaves and bushes, leaf green for most of the stems and grass, light green for the fresh bushes along the path, and pale green for the fence and tall grass.
- 4Paint the flowers and tulips: make the tulips golden yellow on the left, bright red on the right, and bubblegum pink for the small tulip near the bottom. Fill the flower centers golden yellow and keep the daisy petals white.
- 5Decorate the Easter eggs: the spotted egg on the left gets bubblegum pink with white dots, the striped egg gets lavender purple with salmon pink, and the bottom egg gets bubblegum pink with golden yellow stripes. Keep the fence and petals white.
- 6Optional: add a little shading with a slightly darker shade of each color along the edges of the path, the stones and the leaves to make the drawing look more dimensional.
