The star of this page is a firefighter's helmet, placed right in the center. It has a wide curved brim, raised ridges over the dome and a shield-shaped badge on the front that's blank, so kids can decide what goes inside. Standing behind it is a pair of tall rubber boots with two bold stripes, pull-on loops at the top and chunky treaded soles. Down in the corner, thick gloves with wide cuffs lie next to a fire axe with a long handle and a curved blade. No background here, which keeps things clean and simple to color. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the helmet dome, brim and back band with bright red, then color the front shield and chin strap golden yellow.
- 2Color the boot shafts charcoal black, then add golden yellow stripes and top rims, and fill the boot feet with golden yellow.
- 3Color the gloves golden yellow, then shade the cuffs dark gray with light gray reflective stripes.
- 4Color the axe handle tan brown, the blade bright red with a light gray edge, and the top of the head brick red.
- 5Leave the gap between the gloves and the boot pull loop openings white, along with the background.
- 6Optional: add darker dark gray shading under the helmet brim and boot soles for depth.
