Geese Flying Over a Fall Countryside Cottage
Coloring guide
A line of geese glides across the sky in this peaceful country scene. The biggest bird is up close in the top left, and the rest get smaller as they head into the distance, with puffy clouds all around. Down below, a cozy cottage with a chimney sits behind a wooden fence, and a winding path and stone wall lead up to it. Evergreen and leafy trees surround the house, while a calm lake and rolling hills spread out behind. A few flowers bloom in the bottom corners. The feathered wings and layers of trees are good shading practice. Try soft grays and warm browns on the geese, then orange, red and golden yellow on the leafy trees for an autumn feel. This free printable has plenty of detail for patient colorers, at home or in the classroom. Add this to your Fall coloring page collection, alongside Halloween and Gingerbread House.

- 2Fill the distant hills with sky blue, the lake with light blue, and the far right hill with teal green.
- 3Color the big areas of grass, trees, and bushes with grass green and bright leaf green, adding dark forest green to the pines on the left.
- 4Paint the cottage roof and chimney with brick red, and the geese's wings with khaki beige and a little dark brown at the wing tips.
- 5Add the dirt path with sandy tan, the stones with light gray, and the fence with burnt orange and deep green.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker shades of grass green along the bottom edges and under the bushes for depth.
