Gingerbread House on a Frosted Base with Wrapped Candy

A little gingerbread house sits on a thick frosted base, drawn at an angle so you can see the front and the side. The arched door is outlined with candy cane stripes, and a wrapped candy hangs on the wall beside it. Two round gumdrops sit above the door, and one more hangs from a string near the roofline. The side wall has a round window and a small rectangular window with two panes. Wavy icing drips run along the roof edges, walls, and base. The roof is covered in a diamond lattice pattern with five round candies, and a thick striped ridge runs along the top. Try coloring each gumdrop a different bright shade and the candy cane door in red and white, then ask kids to count the candies on the roof. This free printable also works well for a quiet holiday activity at home or in class.
