Windy Day Umbrella Lifting a Girl Into the Air
Coloring guide
The wind has lifted a smiling girl in a raincoat and rain boots right off the ground, and she's hanging on tight to the curved handle of a big open umbrella. Her hair blows to one side and her face is tipped up, happy and excited. Swirly wind lines curl across the page and leaves tumble through the air. Three puffy clouds float in the sky, and a grassy hill with small bushes and tufts of grass runs along the bottom. The big umbrella panels are easy to fill in, and the leaves give smaller hands practice with tight spaces. Try a yellow raincoat and red boots, then orange, brown and gold leaves for a cozy fall feel. Print this free page for a classroom project or a weekend craft. Love this Umbrella coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the umbrella: color the top, center, and right panels lemon yellow, the left-side panels tangerine orange, and the right-side panel cherry red.
- 2Fill the raincoat, sleeves, collar, and both pockets in lemon yellow, then use mustard gold for the lower left edge of the coat.
- 3Color the face and the hand holding the umbrella in peach skin, and the hair and umbrella handle in chestnut brown. Leave the eyes, the smile, and the small shine spots white.
- 4Color the legs in denim blue and both rain boots in cherry red.
- 5Color the clouds in sky blue and the three bushes in grass green. Keep the swirling wind lines and grass tufts white.
- 6Color the falling leaves with tangerine orange and cherry red. Optional: add a little darker shading under the umbrella and the coat for depth.
