A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the hat crown and brim golden yellow, then fill the hat band with sky blue.
- 2Color the hair chestnut brown and the face, neck, and arms peach, leaving the eye whites white. Fill the mouth with soft pink.
- 3Color the shirt soft pink and the overalls denim blue, then add the two buttons in golden yellow.
- 4Paint the seedling and its leaves leaf green, and fill the soil mound with chestnut brown. Color the grass leaf green too.
- 5Color the watering can sky blue, with the water inside navy blue and the rose golden yellow. Make the shovel handle bright red and the blade light gray, leaving its shine white.
- 6Optional: Color the flower centers sunny yellow and leave the petals white, then add a little rose pink to the shape behind the knee for extra depth.
