Girl Reading in a Hammock on a Camping Trip
Coloring guide
A smiling girl lies on her tummy in a roomy hammock hung between two leafy trees. She holds an open book in both hands and her sneakers kick up behind her. She's wearing a headband with a small flower and a short-sleeved shirt. Two little birds fly in the open sky above, and beyond the hammock there's a camping tent on the grass, a couple of pine trees and rounded bushes. The foreground is filled with leafy plants, grass tufts and a few fallen leaves. Big, clear outlines keep this free printable easy for younger kids, and the leaves and hammock stripes give older kids more to do. A bright coral or sunny yellow hammock will stand out nicely against the green trees and bushes. Looking for more? Our Graduation and Baby coloring pages pair nicely with this Camping page.

- 2Color the hammock and the tent with tangerine orange, and add golden yellow along the right edge of the hammock.
- 3Paint the tree trunks and branches caramel tan, then color the leaves with light green and fresh green, and the pine trees and bushes with forest green and fresh green.
- 4Color the girl's hair chocolate brown and the headband and shirt coral pink. Use soft peach for her face, neck and arms, and ocean blue for the book and pants.
- 5Add the birds in golden yellow, then color the sneakers and socks cream white and the tent shadow rust brown. Leave the sneaker soles, tiny highlights and background gaps white.
- 6Optional: add a darker shade of each color along one side of the hammock, the trunks and the hair to give depth.
