Gray Wolf Standing on a Rock Ledge
Coloring guide
A wolf stands on a flat, rounded rock with its body turned to the side and its head angled toward the viewer. Its mouth is slightly open, and the ears are pointed and upright. Short, sketchy lines give the fur a thick, shaggy look across the shoulders, chest, and belly, and the long bushy tail hangs down behind. Large rock walls rise in the background on the left, and a few tufts of grass dot the open ground on the right. This free printable page is a good fit for talking about animal coats and camouflage. Try layering grays, browns, and creamy whites with colored pencils, following the direction of the fur strokes, then pick earthy tones for the rocks and soft greens for the grass.
