- 1Start with the Grinch's fur: color the face, arms, legs and body in lime green, leaving the eye whites, teeth and the small white star patches unpainted.
- 2Fill the big sack on his back and the paper tag in bright red, and color the two stocking toes and the stocking with the snowflake in the same bright red.
- 3Color the brick wall and the fireplace bricks in brick red, leaving the thin white gaps between bricks as they are.
- 4Paint the floor boards and the window frame in warm brown, and the fireplace opening in dark brown.
- 5Add the green garland and the green stocking in forest green, and the window view with sky blue sky and pale blue clouds.
- 6Optional: finish with golden yellow and bright orange flames and a chocolate brown log, then leave the stocking cuffs and the white snow patches clean.
