Grumpy Chameleon Carrying a Bug Net, Animal Crossing Coloring Page
Coloring guide
This sleepy-eyed, slightly grumpy chameleon-style character is walking off to the left with a long bug net resting on one shoulder. There's a lot to color here: little horns on the head and snout, a spiky crest, a patch of spots on the cheek and a curly striped tail. He's dressed in a short-sleeved vest with a zipper pocket, a round badge and a turtleneck collar, plus chunky boots. The net has a grid pattern and a rim with tiny spikes. Nothing is drawn behind him, so kids can stay focused on the character or sketch their own scenery. Soft greens would suit the skin, with a bold orange vest and alternating shades on the tail stripes. It's free to print and there's no sign-up. Love this Animal Crossing coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big green areas: color the head, ears, tail and arm with grass green, and use forest green for the darker back fin and ear.
- 2Fill the tail stripes and the cheek spots with lime green, leaving small gaps so the stripes stand out.
- 3Color the vest, its pockets and the net mesh squares with denim blue, working in small blocks to keep the grid pattern neat.
- 4Add the caramel brown bug net handle, pants and copper orange net frame, then the chocolate brown boots.
- 5Use ivory cream for the shirt collar and light lemon for the horns, and leave the eye whites and background white.
- 6Optional: Add golden yellow to the eye iris and silver gray to the small net clips for a finishing touch.
