Muddy Puddle Splash with a Baby Elephant
Coloring guide
Sitting in a shallow puddle, this baby elephant shoots a fountain of water high into the air from its raised trunk. Droplets and splashes fly everywhere, and ripples spread over the ground around its feet. Mud spots dot its head, ears, body and legs, giving you fun little shapes to color. A few grass tufts and rounded rocks line the edges, and the elephant has a small tuft of hair on its head and a bushy-tipped tail. With big eyes, an open mouth and wide ears, it's a cheerful pick for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Bold outlines and roomy spaces help little hands stay inside the lines. Gray or blue fits the elephant, brown the mud and light blue the water. A good free printable for a rainy day. More like this: explore the Elephant, Wolves and Lion coloring page collections.

- 3Fill the puddle and the water splashes around the elephant in sky blue, and add soft blue to the tip of the trunk and the water spray.
- 4Paint the rocks and pebbles in taupe brown and the grass tufts in leaf green, keeping the background white.
- 5Add mud spots in mud brown on the head, ears, body, legs and trunk, then color the toes and feet in cream.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading in charcoal gray on the plant bud and the shaded sides of the body for extra depth.
