Thai Temple Garden Elephant in Festival Dress

Front and center in a temple courtyard stands a smiling young elephant, dressed up in a patterned blanket, a jeweled headpiece, tassel necklaces and decorated ankle bands. Its trunk curls up at the tip, and its big eyes have long lashes. Behind it rises a tiered pagoda-style temple with pointed roofs, framed by two tall palm trees. A stone lantern sits on the left, and a lotus-style planter overflowing with flowers is on the right. More leafy plants and blooms fill the foreground, and the ground looks like stone paving. The flowers, diamonds and tassels on the costume suit kids who like small spaces, and older children will enjoy the fine patterns. Deep reds and golds work for the blanket and headpiece against a soft gray elephant. This free printable fits a quiet afternoon or a lesson on cultural festivals.
