Butterflies Landing Near a Happy Elephant

Coloring guide
In a patch of tall grass, a smiling baby elephant sits with its trunk curled up toward a butterfly fluttering overhead. Two more smiling butterflies drift nearby, one at the top left and one on the right. Big daisy-style flowers fill the bottom corners, with a smaller flower in the middle and a closed bud rising on the left. The elephant has large floppy ears, wide eyes with lashes, a few tufts of hair and little wrinkle lines on the trunk. Thick outlines and roomy shapes make it friendly for younger kids using crayons or chunky markers. Sky blue or lavender works for the elephant, while yellow and orange wings will stand out against the grass. A sweet free printable for a spring lesson or a quiet afternoon at the table. - 2Fill the inside of the ear and the open mouth with coral pink, and leave the eye whites and the small teeth white.
- 3Color the toenails pale cream, then fill the grass blades with leaf green, mint green, and dark green for the darker shadowed blades.
- 4Paint the butterfly wings with coral pink, rose pink, lavender, golden yellow, and tangerine orange, mixing the colors so each butterfly looks cheerful.
- 5Color the flower centers golden yellow and the stems and leaves leaf green, keeping the daisy petals white.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker strokes of dark gray along the elephant's edges and under the flowers to make them pop.
