Bunny Perched on a Wobbly Egg for Easter for Kids

Up on top of a large Easter egg sits a smiling bunny with big floppy ears. Its front paws grip the shell while its oversized back feet kick out to each side. You'll see a fluffy tail, whiskers, wide sparkly eyes and an open, happy mouth. The egg wears bands of patterns: a row of small circles, wavy zigzag lines, a stripe of five-petal flowers, and a row of dots near the bottom. Little motion lines next to the egg and a curved rocker underneath make it look like it's wobbling gently. Grass tufts and a few daisy-style flowers fill the bottom corners. Pastel stripes of lavender, mint and yellow would look lovely on the egg, with bright pink centers on the flowers. The PDF is free, so print a few extra copies to keep handy. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the bunny's body, head, ears, arms and tail in warm tan brown, leaving the fluffy tail, cheek fur and chest fur line white.
- 2Color the inside of both ears and the foot pads in blush pink, and the open mouth and nose in salmon pink and blush pink.
- 3Fill the big egg base with sky blue, then color the wide stripes around the egg: rose pink bands and lemon yellow wavy bands.
- 4Add the lavender purple and lemon yellow dots along the egg stripes, and color the lower olive yellow stripe near the bottom of the egg.
- 5Color the grass leaves and stems in leaf green, and the small flower centers in lemon yellow while keeping the flower petals white.
- 6Optional: Leave the eye highlights and the flower petals white, and add a little darker shading on the bunny's belly and the bottom of the egg for depth.
