Bow Basket Full of Eggs, an Easter for Kids Printable

This woven Easter basket has a big floppy bow on the top handle and is packed with five eggs, each one patterned differently. One has zigzag stripes, one has big polka dots, one is covered in little flowers, and the egg in front has a row of hearts between two bands. The fifth egg, on the right, has simple curved stripes. Spiky tufts of grass poke out on both sides. The handle looks like twisted rope, and the basket has a brick-style weave with lots of small sections. Preschoolers will do well with the large shapes and bold outlines, and the dots, flowers and weave give older kids more to tackle. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the basket handle and the wide basket body: color the handle loops and rim in caramel tan and the woven bricks in honey gold and chocolate brown, alternating as you go.
- 2Fill the bow with bubblegum pink, including the loops, tails and center knot, leaving the background space around it white.
- 3Color the eggs next: the left egg in sky blue, the top egg with lemon yellow and lavender purple zigzag bands, the right egg in lavender purple with tangerine orange stripes, and the front egg in bubblegum pink with pale blue stripes.
- 4Add the grass tufts in leaf green and moss green at the front and sides of the basket.
- 5Draw the hearts on the front egg in cherry red and leave the polka dots and flower petals on the eggs white.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading along one side of each egg or the basket to make it look more rounded.
