Cartoon Elephant Trumpeting With Mouth Wide Open

A friendly cartoon elephant stands in profile, turned slightly toward the viewer, with its mouth open in what looks like a happy trumpet call. Its trunk curls upward at the tip, and the big round eyes have small pupils that make it look curious. Two large ears have an inner outline that is easy to color separately. A few spiky tufts of hair stick up on top of the head, and a thin tail ends in a little tassel. Each foot has rounded toenails, and the knees have small curved wrinkle lines. The outlines are clean and bold, so younger kids can stay inside them without much trouble. Try coloring the inner ears a soft pink and the body a classic gray, then talk about why real elephants have such big ears. This printable page also works well for a quick animal unit warm-up.
