Happy Kitten with Paw on a Basketball
Coloring guide
A happy tabby kitten sits upright with one front paw on top of a big basketball, mouth open in a cheerful smile. It has large round eyes with shiny highlights, a small triangle nose, long whiskers on both cheeks, pointed ears and three little stripes on its forehead. The tail curls up behind on the right. The ball has the usual curved lines, and simple floor lines run along the bottom. Bold, clean outlines and roomy shapes make this free printable a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Orange and brown stripes for the kitten, a bright orange ball with black seams and a warm wood floor would be a good combo. It suits quiet time, a sports-themed class day or any cat fan. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the cat's body, head and both cheeks with golden yellow, leaving the small eye whites and shine spots white.
- 2Color the tail, the forehead stripes and most of the basketball in bright orange, keeping the ball's black lines clean.
- 3Color the wood floor with light tan, then use tan brown for the strips at the left and right edges of the floor.
- 4Fill the front paws and the paw on the right with cream so they stand out from the orange body.
- 5Color the inner ears, nose and tongue soft pink, and add burnt orange to the lower edge of the basketball.
- 6Optional: fill the pupils in dark black and add a little shading on the cat's tummy with a slightly darker golden yellow.
