Happy Ladybug on a Calendar with Daisies

Coloring guide
This ladybug is all smiles, with big sparkly eyes and an open-mouth grin. It sits on top of a spiral-bound calendar, its little legs resting on the grid of empty date squares. The round shell has large oval spots, and the two curly antennae finish in small round tips. Three daisy-style flowers with rounded petals and a few tufts of grass surround the calendar, which gives small hands plenty to work on. Since the squares are blank, kids can fill in numbers, doodles or stickers once the coloring is done. A red shell with black spots looks great, with soft yellow flower centers and fresh green grass. Print it free for a quiet afternoon at the table, or use it to practice the days of the week. More like this: explore the Calendar, Math Pixel Art and Anatomy coloring page collections.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the calendar board border, its bottom corner, and the centers of the three daisies in golden yellow, leaving the daisy petals white.
- 2Fill every square of the calendar grid with sky blue, keeping the dark grid lines clear.
- 3Color the ladybug shell and the antenna ball in bright red, then the head in dark gray.
- 4Fill the shell spots in charcoal black, and color the legs and arms in medium gray and dark gray.
- 5Keep the eye whites and their shine spots white so the ladybug looks cheerful.
- 6Optional: add a little light shading with a slightly darker tone along the shell edges and under the head for depth.
