Waving Octopus Next to Seaweed and Rocks

Coloring guide
Here's a friendly octopus with a big round head, wide sparkling eyes and an open smile, and one long tentacle is lifted high like it's saying hello. The other arms curl and spread across the page, each with small oval suckers to color one at a time. A tall strand of wavy seaweed grows up on the right side, and a large rock with a couple of small pebbles sits at the bottom left. Bold, clean lines help little ones with chunky crayons stay inside the shapes. You could go with bright purple or orange for the octopus and soft pink for the suckers. Green seaweed and gray stones round out the scene. This free printable is a nice choice for preschoolers and early elementary kids who like friendly sea animals. Fans of Octopus coloring pages often like Dolphin and Shark as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the octopus head, body and all its arms soft purple, working in gentle strokes and leaving the small suction cups along the arms white.
- 2Fill the big rock slate gray, then color the small pebble beside it light gray.
- 3Color the three seaweed stalks on the right grass green, letting them overlap the rock area softly.
- 4Fill the open smile raspberry pink and add bubblegum pink to the tongue inside it.
- 5Color the two small pebbles at the bottom of the rock and on the right sand beige.
- 6Add a golden yellow spot on the waving arm and leave the eye whites and shiny eye spots white. Optional: add a slightly darker purple along the shadowed side of the body for depth.
