A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big body shapes: fill the haunches, legs, paws, chest, neck fur and the curly tail with golden orange, leaving the face and ears for later.
- 2Color the inside of both floppy ears and the open tongue with coral pink.
- 3Fill the wide collar band with cherry red, and add the cream beige strip just under the chin.
- 4Color the round dog tag with golden yellow so it pops against the red collar.
- 5Leave the eye whites, the bright shine dots in the eyes, the nose and the face area white so the puppy looks fresh and cheerful.
- 6Optional: add a little darker orange pencil stroke along the sides of the body for a bit of depth.
