Hot Air Balloon Color by Number Above the Mountains
Coloring guide
Let a little pilot take off with this hot air balloon page. The big balloon has six tall stripes numbered 1 through 6, a numbered 8 band at the base and a woven basket, also marked 8, hanging below. All four puffy clouds in the corners are marked 7. Down below, two snow-capped mountains are numbered 5 and two smaller hills in front are numbered 6. Little pine trees line the lakeshore, and the rippling water is marked 4. It suits kids who are working on number recognition and following a simple key. Warm red, orange and yellow look good on the balloon stripes, with soft purple for the clouds and deep blue for the lake. Print this free page at home or in the classroom. - 1Color the balloon envelope panels from left to right: bright red on the far left, warm orange next, golden yellow in the middle, light green on the right, and bright blue on the far right.
- 2Fill the basket with caramel brown and color the purple band across the top of the basket with violet purple.
- 3Color the mountains steel blue, and leave the snowcaps white for a snowy peak look.
- 4Color the rolling hills in meadow green, then add the trees in forest green, grass green and fresh green, and the grassy banks on each side in light green.
- 5Color the clouds pale sky blue, and leave the ropes connecting the basket to the balloon white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading at the bottom of each balloon panel and on the basket weave to make the balloon look more rounded.
