Howling Wolf Walking With Head Tilted Back

Howling Wolf Walking With Head Tilted Back printable coloring page

Coloring guide

A single wolf is drawn in side view, walking to the left with its head thrown back and its mouth open in a howl. The eyes look closed, and a few thin whisker lines trail across the muzzle. Short, jagged strokes show fur along the neck, chest, belly and legs, and the bushy tail stretches out behind with a dark, heavily shaded tip. All four paws are visible, with two stepping forward and two pushing off behind. There is no background, so young artists have plenty of room to add their own. Try gray and brown pencils for the body, then press harder on the tail tip to match the dark shading. This printable page also works well for a short lesson on why wolves howl, or for practicing fur texture with small strokes.
