Intricate Snowflakes Mandala with Stars and Crystals

A round mandala fills the middle of this winter page, and a smiling little snowflake face sits at its very center. Rings of detail spread outward from there. First come small diamond shapes and dots, then a ring of larger snowflakes, and then stars and long pointed crystals around the scalloped outer edge. Outside the circle, the white background holds more snowflakes in different sizes, plus gems, tiny stars, diamonds and little round bubbles, with big snowflakes in each corner. The lines are thin and the patterns are intricate, so it's best for older kids, teens or adults who like to settle in with a pencil or fine marker. It's a free printable and needs no sign-up. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big mandala rings: fill the outer and middle purple bands with orchid purple, and the thin outer rings with royal blue.
- 2Color the teal ring sections and the background circles of the middle band with aqua teal, leaving the snowflake shapes free for later.
- 3Fill the center circle and the inner ring with light sky blue, then add the orchid purple diamonds and squares around it.
- 4Color the five-pointed stars and the star-shaped ornaments at the edges with golden yellow, so they pop against the blues and purples.
- 5Add lilac to the small crystals and the lower side points, and use soft violet and steel blue for the few remaining accents.
- 6Optional: Leave the snowflake outlines and small dots uncolored so they look like white ice crystals, and add a little darker shading at the edges of the rings for depth.
