Jesus Praying Under Olive Trees on a Good Friday Night
Coloring guide
A long-haired, bearded man in a flowing robe kneels next to a large boulder, hands clasped and eyes gently closed. It is a quiet prayer scene that fits well with Good Friday. Two olive trees full of olives frame the page behind him. A crescent moon and small outlined stars fill the night sky, with rolling hills and bushes in the distance. Grass tufts, small stones and a leafy olive branch sit up front. Robe folds, bark and leaves give kids lots of detail, while the big open rock and sky are easy for younger children. Deep blue or purple suits the sky, soft yellow the moon, and layered greens and grays the olive leaves. Print it free for class or a weekend craft. Love this Good Friday coloring page? - 2Fill the robe, including the body, legs, and sleeves, with cream white so it stays soft and bright.
- 3Color the red cloak draped over the shoulders and down the left side in coral red, then add the red belt around the waist.
- 4Paint the hills and grass in forest green and grass green, and color the tree trunks and branches in tan brown.
- 5Fill the olive leaves with olive green and add steel blue and deep blue to the shadowed leaves and sky patches, keeping the stars and moon white.
- 6Color the face, hands, neck, and ear in peach skin, then fill the hair and beard with dark brown. Optional: add a little extra sage green shading to the tree leaves and warm gray to the rock edges for depth.
