Circus Octopus Juggling Four Striped Balls

Coloring guide
Standing on a round circus pedestal, this smiling octopus is juggling four striped balls. Two are held up in its raised tentacles and two float overhead with little motion lines. Its big round head is dotted with small spots, and rows of suckers line the curling tentacles. The pedestal has triangle patterns and circles on it. Behind the octopus, a circus ring wall with a zigzag triangle border curves across the page, and a string of pennant flags hangs under striped tent curtains at the top. Chunky outlines and big open areas keep things easy for younger kids, and the suckers and patterns give older kids more to do. Bright purple or orange suits the octopus, and alternating red and yellow on the balls helps them stand out from the tent. Free to print and great for a circus-themed rainy day. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big purple octopus head and all eight tentacles in lavender purple, leaving the white spots on the head and tentacles uncolored.
- 2Color the drum base and its triangles: alternate coral red and sky blue, and add sunny yellow dots on the drum front.
- 3Fill the stage edge and the wide floor bands with soft yellow and lemon yellow, and use coral red and sky blue for the striped triangles along the back.
- 4Color the three juggling balls with lemon yellow, sky blue, and royal blue stripes, and add a dusty plum shadow under the left ball.
- 5Add coral red to the curtain stripes and bunting flags, with orange and teal on a few flags, and give the mouth a rose pink tone.
- 6Optional: Keep the eye whites and the small shine dots white so the face looks bright and happy.
