Kawaii Rainbow Words With Cloud Friends

Coloring guide
A big striped rainbow arches over the top of the page, and a smiling cloud sits at each end. The clouds have round sparkly eyes, tiny curved smiles and little oval cheeks, which gives them a sweet kawaii feel. Under the rainbow, the word RAINBOW is spelled out in chunky bubble letters that are easy to color, even for small hands. With six nested bands and plenty of room, kids can follow the classic order of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Pale blue or soft lavender clouds will let the rainbow stand out, and each bubble letter can get its own bright color. Use it to practice color names, say the spelling out loud, or fill a quiet afternoon. It's free to print or download for kids and coloring fans of all ages. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the rainbow arcs from the outside in: tomato red for the outer band, then tangerine orange, sunny yellow, leaf green, bright blue, periwinkle, and lavender purple for the innermost band.
- 2Fill both clouds with pale sky blue, leaving the small shine spots in the black eyes white.
- 3Color the big letters one by one: tomato red R, tangerine orange A, sunny yellow I, leaf green N, bright blue B, lavender purple O, and bubblegum pink W. Keep the inside holes of the B and the O white.
- 4Add bubblegum pink blush on the cheeks of both clouds.
- 5Optional: add a little darker shading along the bottom edge of each cloud and rainbow band with slightly firmer pressure for a bit of depth.
