Kids Rolling Out Thanksgiving Pie Dough in the Kitchen
Coloring guide
At a kitchen counter, a smiling boy and girl in aprons stand side by side, both holding a rolling pin as they flatten a patch of pie dough, with flour dots scattered around. Up front are an empty fluted pie dish, a mixing bowl with a spoon sticking out, and three apples with leaves and stems. The window behind them shows falling autumn leaves, maple leaves included, plus a tree branch, and a utensil holder with a spoon and spatula sits on the shelf to the left. The girl wears her hair in a side ponytail, and the boy has short tousled hair. Rosy reds and greens fit the apples, and warm oranges and yellows work for the leaves outside. - 1Start with the big background: color the kitchen wall and cabinets in pale sky blue and honey yellow, and the window glass in pale sky blue.
- 2Fill the boy's and girl's skin in peach skin, then color the boy's hair in chestnut brown and the girl's hair and ponytail in tangerine orange.
- 3Color the boy's shirt and sleeves in denim blue and the girl's shirt and sleeves in coral pink, leaving the aprons in cream.
- 4Paint the dough sheet and pie crust in light tan, the rolling pin in caramel brown, and the mixing bowl in teal.
- 5Add the apples: green on the left, bright red in the middle, and lemon yellow on the right, then color the pie tin in bright red.
- 6Optional: Add the maple and yellow leaves in the window, and leave the flour dust spots and eye whites white for a fresh, bright look.
