Standing on a little grassy hill, a smiling chibi-style Blastoise holds the string of a diamond-shaped kite in one raised hand. The kite floats in the upper left with three bows on its wavy tail. The turtle has big sparkly eyes, round blushing cheeks and an open happy mouth. Two small cannons poke up from the shell on its back, which has a neat pattern of sections that are fun to fill in. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the turtle's head, arms, legs, and tail with light green, leaving the small eye shines white.
- 2Color the big shell with leaf green, working plate by plate so the tile pattern stays visible.
- 3Paint the belly and the lower plates of the shell with cream yellow, leaving the kite string and ground white.
- 4Color the kite panels with bright red, tangerine orange, sky blue, and baby blue, and the clouds with baby blue.
- 5Add the kite bows in bright red, sunny yellow, and sky blue, then the back tubes and the flipper in sunny yellow and tangerine orange.
- 6Finish with hot pink flowers, salmon pink open mouth, and blush pink cheeks. Optional: add a little darker green along the shell edges for depth.
