Kitten Rescue by Helicopter Pilot from a Tree
Coloring guide
Leaning out of the open cabin door in a helmet and harness, a helicopter pilot reaches a friendly hand toward a small kitten on a thick tree branch. The kitten has a striped tail and looks right back at him. Down below, a boy with a backpack and a girl with a ponytail watch, and the girl clasps her hands as if hoping for the best. A happy puppy sits next to them gazing up with its mouth open. Leafy bushes and tufts of grass cover the ground, and big clusters of leaves frame the branch. The helicopter has a large rotor, a tail rotor and landing skids. It's a kind story scene for kids who like rescue themes. Go for a red helicopter with a sky-blue window, orange stripes on the kitten, and a few shades of green for the leaves. Print this free page for a screen-free activity at home. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big red body of the helicopter and the golden yellow dog, then fill the tail fin and the grass with bright green and leaf green.
- 2Color the blue parts next: the pilot's uniform and the rotor blades in royal blue, and the cockpit windows in light sky blue.
- 3Fill the tree leaves in leaf green and bright green, and color the tree trunk and branches in light gray, leaving the trunk's highlight lines white.
- 4Color the kitten in light gray, leaving its face white, then add the girl's pink hoodie, the boy's brown hair, and the orange backpack.
- 5Add skin peach to the faces and hands, dark brown to the boy's hair details, and red to the helicopter skids and tail rotor edges.
- 6Optional: Add a little warm gray shading on the cockpit shadow and the boy's jacket to make the scene feel more three-dimensional.
