Kitten Rescue: Firefighter on a Tall Ladder
Coloring guide
A smiling firefighter in a helmet, turnout coat and boots is climbing a tall ladder propped against a big tree trunk. One hand holds a rung while the other reaches up to a small kitten sitting on a branch. The kitten has a striped tail and looks down with curiosity. Three children stand at the bottom left, watching with hopeful faces, and one has hands pressed together. The firefighter also carries an air tank on his back. The treetop is full of leafy foliage, and the ground has grass tufts and daisy-style flowers. Red or yellow suits the helmet and coat, with silver or light gray for the reflective stripes, and orange stripes on the kitten look good against green leaves. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the firefighter's jacket and pants in golden yellow, and the helmet in fire red.
- 2Fill the kitten's head and body with light gray, and the tree branch with chestnut brown, leaving the big tree trunk on the right white.
- 3Color the grass, bushes and leaves in leaf green, then the ladder in caramel brown.
- 4Paint the people with peach skin for faces and hands, ocean blue for the left boy's jacket, rose pink for the girl's shirt, lavender purple for the small boy's shirt, and tangerine orange for the girl's ponytail.
- 5Add charcoal boots, steel blue backpack, and lemon yellow stripes on the jacket and pants, leaving the gaps between the ladder rails white.
- 6Optional: add a little pale yellow or ivory highlight on the pants and a touch of butter yellow on the sleeves, and leave the tree trunk shine white.
