Lacing Up Ice Skating Boots on a Bench in a Pom-Pom Hat
Coloring guide
Sitting on a wooden bench, a smiling little girl in a knit pom-pom hat tugs the laces tight on one skate, with that foot propped up on her knee. Her buttoned winter coat has a fluffy collar and cuffs, and her other skate is already on, resting below the bench. Next to her are a pair of mittens with snowflake designs and a tall thermos with a handle. A few curved lines along the bottom hint at the ice. Big, simple shapes work for little hands, while the striped hat brim and laced boots give older kids some detail to chew on. Pale blue for the coat and a red hat with a fluffy white pom-pom could look good, and the snowflake mittens can be any cheerful color you like. - 1Start with the girl's face and hands: color the face, ears and both hands with skin peach, leaving the eye whites and little shine spots white.
- 2Color the knit hat and mittens bright red, and the bench and its legs warm brown, dark brown for the shaded leg edges.
- 3Fill the jacket with lavender purple and the pants and thermos with sky blue, with the thermos cap in light blue.
- 4Add the cream fur collar, pom-pom and cuffs, and color the hair warm brown.
- 5Color the ice skate blades medium gray and the blade tips light gray, and leave the skate boots white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the jacket folds and under the bench for depth.
