Ladybug Ride for a Little Bee

Coloring guide
A cheerful little bee with round antennae, big sparkly eyes and a striped tummy perches on the back of a friendly ladybug and rests its hands on her shell. The ladybug has a big smile, curly antennae and large round spots, and she stands on a wide veined leaf. Tall grass blades rise on both sides, with two small spotted mushrooms and a few more tufts along the bottom corners. The wings, spots and leaf are big open shapes, so small hands can fill them in easily. Sunny yellow and soft black stripes work for the bee, bright red for the ladybug's shell, and fresh greens for the leaf and grass. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big leaf and the grass blades on both sides: color them fresh green, and use lime green on a few grass blades for variety.
- 2Fill the ladybug's shell and the two small mushroom caps with cherry red, and color the bee's wings sky blue.
- 3Color the bee's stripes and antenna tips golden yellow, and fill the bee's head and the ladybug's head with light peach.
- 4Color the ladybug's spots, legs, feet and the bee's legs and stinger charcoal gray, and add the bubblegum pink smiles and the cream mushroom stems.
- 5Leave the eye whites, the eye shine spots and the white dots on the mushrooms unpainted so they pop against the colors.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of darker color along the edges of the shell and leaf to give them a little depth.
