Lamb in the Meadow Holding an Easter Basket
Coloring guide
A fluffy little lamb stands in a grassy meadow, gently holding a woven basket in its mouth. Two decorated eggs sit inside, one with spots and one with zigzag stripes, tucked among several blooming flowers and leaves. The lamb has big sparkling eyes, long lashes, floppy ears and a curly tuft of wool on its head. Rolling hills, round bushes and puffy clouds fill the background, and tufts of grass and small daisy-like flowers dot the ground. The wool texture and the basket weave give kids lots of fun detail. Soft pastel pink and yellow suit the eggs, bright purple or orange work for the basket flowers, and a warm tan basket will stand out against the lamb's creamy wool. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky: fill the top left cloud and the small right cloud with pale sky blue, and leave the top right cloud white.
- 2Color the rolling hills and the meadow grass between the lamb's legs with lime green, then fill the bushes on the hills with grass green.
- 3Fill the lamb's fluffy wool, face, back and legs with cream, leaving the eye whites and flower petals white.
- 4Color the ears and nose light pink, then paint the four hooves chocolate brown.
- 5Fill the woven basket with caramel brown and the basket handle with cream. Add bright blue, bubblegum pink and salmon pink to the Easter eggs.
- 6Finish the flowers: keep the petals white, color the flower centers golden yellow, and add a little dusty gold to the basket leaves. Optional: add a light touch of shading to the wool with a slightly darker cream.
