Laughing Boy on a Tree Swing in the Park

A happy boy with his eyes squeezed shut and his mouth open in a big laugh sits on a wooden swing that hangs from a thick branch of a large tree. He grips the ropes with both hands while his feet kick out in front of him. The tree has a twisty trunk with a curly swirl mark, and its puffy, scalloped leaves spread across the top of the page. Beside the trunk you can see a broken wooden fence post and a small tree stump. A butterfly flutters near the swing, two swirly clouds float in the sky, and flowers, grass tufts, and bushes dot the rolling hills. The printable page is a nice fit for a spring lesson on playing outside. Try coloring the leaves in a few different greens so the big tree has light and shadow, then give the butterfly bright wings to match the flowers in the grass.
