Leaf Boat Ride for a Bulbasaur-Like Creature on the Pond
Coloring guide
Floating across a calm pond in a big curled leaf, a smiling long-eared creature has two leaves growing from its head and a swirly, vine-wrapped bulb on its back. Two little ducklings paddle on the rippling water around the leaf boat, with round lily pads nearby and a lotus flower in the bottom corner. Rocks and tall grass tufts line the shore along the top. Younger kids will like the big shapes and smooth outlines, and older kids can tackle the ripples, leaf veins and tiny vine leaves. Soft greens suit the boat and the sprout leaves, and yellow ducklings will stand out against blue water. This one is a free printable for a calm, creative moment. - 2Fill the inner ears and the open mouth with soft pink.
- 3Color the big leaf boat, the lily pads and the leaves on the head and vines in leaf green, using dark green for the shaded base inside the boat.
- 4Paint the pond water in sky blue and the rocks in light gray, then add the two ducks in lemon yellow.
- 5Color the lotus flower with soft pink petals and a lemon yellow center, and add a golden yellow touch to the small vine leaves.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker strokes of caramel brown along the bunny's body and leaf green along the boat's edges to give a little depth.
