Leaf Canopy Umbrella With a Rope-Twisted Handle

Coloring guide
An umbrella canopy built entirely from leaves sits on top of a long, rope-twisted handle that ends in a curled hook. The leaves come in many shapes: big veined leaves fan out along both sides, lobed maple-style leaves sit near the middle, and rounded petal-like leaves crown the top. Small clusters of berries and bubbles dot the canopy, and a few raindrop shapes hang along the lower edges. Each leaf has its own vein lines, so there are lots of small sections to fill in. Try coloring each leaf in a different fall shade, like deep red, burnt orange, golden yellow and brown, then use a cool blue or gray for the drops. The wide leaf shapes are good for practicing blending, and the twisted handle works well for alternating two colors. This printable page suits a rainy autumn afternoon at home or in the classroom.
