Leafy Branch With Alternating Pointed Leaves

Coloring guide
A single upright stem runs down the middle of the page with nine large leaves attached along it, plus a small pointed leaf at the very top. The leaves alternate from side to side, with four on the left and four on the right below the top leaf. Each one has a rounded body that narrows to a sharp tip, and a thin center vein is drawn inside. The bigger leaves toward the bottom stretch wide, while the ones near the top get smaller. The outlines are clean and the inside spaces are open, so there is plenty of room for crayons, markers, or colored pencils. This printable page works well for a science lesson on leaf shape and how leaves grow in an alternating pattern. Kids could color each leaf a slightly different shade of green, or try a fall palette of reds, oranges, and yellows.
