Single Leaf With Curved Stem and Veins

Coloring guide
One large leaf hangs at a slant, attached to a long curved stem that bends in from the upper left. A thick central vein runs down the middle to the pointed tip at the bottom. Thinner side veins branch off on both sides and curve toward the edges, and many of them fade to very fine lines as they travel outward. The left half of the leaf is narrower, while the right half bulges out wider with a smooth rounded edge. Near the base, a few tiny veins gather into a small cluster. There is plenty of open space inside each section, so it works well for blending colors. Try shading from deep green near the center vein to a lighter yellow-green at the edges, then talk about how veins carry water through a leaf. This page is free to print for home or classroom use.
